No account or sign-up is required — help is available the moment you open the app.

Data storage

All data is stored locally on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes your data.

A note on sensitive information

MindFirst deals with mental health, so we hold it to the strictest possible standard: your safety plan, check-ins and emergency contacts are stored only on your iPhone, are never transmitted anywhere, and are not visible to us or anyone else. When you tap SOS or call a contact, the phone number is handed to the iOS dialer — the call itself happens entirely outside the app, like any normal phone call.

Not a medical device

MindFirst offers self-help techniques for acute moments and makes it easier to reach your own contacts or a helpline. It does not diagnose, treat or replace professional care, and the app states this clearly during onboarding. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

• MindFirst makes no network requests — every protocol, your safety plan and your contacts work fully offline.
• No third-party SDKs of any kind are included in the app.

Children’s privacy

MindFirst does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. The app contains no social features, chat or user-generated content shared with others.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of MindFirst changes how data is handled — for example by introducing new features — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will reflect it.
